YOU CAN HELP BY NOMINATING JUSTICE ON TRIAL

Justice On Trial has been approved for nomination that may help this important advocacy for the wrongfully accused to get badly needed funding.

Organizations such as Justice On Trial are frequently the only hope for those wrongfully accused.  That the problem has reached critical proportions in the U.S. is evidenced by the Barry Scheck/Peter Neufeld run advocacy, Innocence Project, that has, to date, been responsible for 218 exonerations, some off of death row.  Organizations such as Justice On Trial are chronically underfunded and depend on volunteers, grants and contributions.

American Express has initiated a philanthropic program with the goal, “Make a Positive Impact in the World” with “Your Ideas. Your Decision. Our Money.”   Justice on Trial at Members Project has been approved for consideration by the panel at AMEX Members Project .

Justice On Trial has accomplished much for the wrongfully accused since its inception in April of 2002 with the help of financial contributions from supporters, volunteer work from attorneys and other legal professionals, however, to continue this work, this important  advocacy will need additional funding.

You can help by visiting the Members Project website, reviewing the outline of our project, the impact we expect to have on the pervasive problem of wrongful convictions in this country and, should you feel it is worthy of funding, nominate Justice On Trial for eligibility.

Over the last 7 years, we have applied for various grants and to many philanthropic organizations for funding, with limited success.  Most recently, the Justice On Trial Project has been submitted and was just approved for nomination for funding/promotion by American Express as part of their Members Project program.  This is a highly successful program of philanthropy for worthy projects.  AMEX makes determinations of the worthiness/credibility of the project through its own panel and based on nominations and comments by visitors to the Members Project website

You may also make suggestions or offer comments about Justice On Trial and/or this  problem with the justice system that it is our goal to suggest legislation to lawmakers that will help avoid the current high percentage of wrongful convictions.  Many other worthy projects are listed for your review/nomination.  Please click on this link, Or, paste this address into your Internet window: http://www.membersproject.com/project/view/WONBSI

All nominations must be logged by September 1st in order for us to qualify for the final selection, September 9th.  Thank you for taking the time to review this message and for your past cooperation.  Should you have any friends and/or associates who may have interest  in furthering this cause, please forward this message to them, if you are so inclined.
